STRATFORD FESTIVAL OF MOTORING, SUNDAY 4 AND MONDAY 5 MAY
The very popular Festival of Motoring is organised by Stratforward, (the town’s Business Improvement District) and Shakespeare Country and takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The event will see more than 300 classic and special interest vehicles on display, in the streets throughout the historic town. The festival features two "runs" through stunning Warwickshire and Gloucestershire countryside. For up to date information visit click here

MOP FAIR, FRIDAY 10 OCTOBER AND SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER. RUNAWAY MOP ON THURSDAY 23 OCTOBER AND FRIDAY 24 OCTOBER
Annual fun fair in the town's streets, but historically, a MOP Fair was a hiring fair. Farm workers, labourers, servants and some craftsmen would work for their employer from October to October. At the end of the employment they would attend the Mop Fair dressed in their Sunday best clothes and carrying an item signifying their trade. A servant with no particular skills would carry a mop head – hence the phrase Mop Fair.
